Steps

Where will you step?

We step in but we can so easily step on.

Step on feelings, step on hearts, step on trust.

Crush the fragile bridge that has been built between two souls.

Much of what comes between us has taken time.  We owe that beautiful work a bit more time. We owe the extra moment to inhale before we speak and pray before we respond.  Taking the high road when the low road has become the fast lane.

In the marketplace the low road speaks quick, it is loud and sexy and full of opinion.  It is natural. It comes easy.

Supernatural takes time.  Allowing someone, the greatest One to work through us takes time. Supernatural is not popular.  It does not get its way.  Rather, it leads to something better, something holier, something that does not marginalize or condemn.

It points to right.  It cares little about popularity.  It walks softly. It builds.  It encourages.  It seeks to understand without fear of shame. It recognizes all have something.  All have worth.  All have a story and a perspective and a position.

All have a god.  We speak and without even knowing it we have introduced them to ours simply by how we have stepped.

Pursue the things, which make for peace and the building up of one another.  Romans 14:19
