Eyes
fall on the same scene they have known for a thousand years. The
mind plays the same game. But
the angle or perhaps the light take us someplace, somewhere else.
The
moment stops and we see something we have missed along. The axle on which this life turns is not us. We
strive for control. We hold it as if it
is life giving and freedom fighting. We
fight even the slightest exhale thinking we will release some piece of the
menagerie we hold. But
it is the very thing that keeps us from freedom.
Giving God control is the ultimate act of freedom.
It
is the keys to the prison of self-doubt and self-focus.
The
prison opens and our pain senses the presence of the Almighty. Our fear becomes acquainted with His
fearlessness.
Our
view becomes a reflection of His grace.
Search me O God and know
my heart, test me and know my anxious thoughts.
Point out anything in me that offends you and lead me along the path of
everlasting life.
Psalm 139:23-24
