30 - Day 28

The same earth spun around the same sun.  The same moon showed its glowing face.  The same stars glittered through the same sky and the same gravity caused billions of gallons of water to spill up on the same sand across the same beaches.

We wake knowing time has marched on, our hearts have beat on and the day waits.

Jeremiah writes that we embrace the same steadfast love, the same love we had yesterday and the one we will have tomorrow.

Likewise Gods faithfulness irreconcilably, uncannily is offered as a gift for our unwrapping. Yet one word, one gift, one treasure is penned as new. . .  mercy.

His compassionate, life altering, undeserved and abundant mercy is NEW.  His crazy wonderful reminder that whatever happened yesterday and the day before and the year before that, He has handled.

And today as if the slate has been wiped clean, is new.  We have a new start, a new task, a new extraordinary opportunity to start again, to race after Him, to love and comfort and build and create.  Hold on, buckle in, take part and be inspired.

The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases; his mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is your faithfulness.
Lamentations 3:22-23
